Al wire is used more and more ( 29 - June- 2009 )

Because of the high price of CU and other materials recently, some high-tech companies suffer from high cost. Regarding the copper wire, the high price restricts its use and this speed up the replacement of copper wire with Al wire.

Some companies thought the technology of replacing copper with Al haven't been improved. Infact, some European countries have always been using Al wire. In last 90's, Al wire is widely used in many areas in European countries. And in last 70's, as we can't find much copper material native, al wire is fully used in calbes, transformer and other areas. With the developing of copper materials, the price of copper got close to the price of Al. This leads to the wide use of copper wire.

However during the manufacturing, Al wire does have difference with copper wire. Especially at the point of welding, this problem troubles a lot of factoreis and restricts its wide application. But after long time research, this problem has been settled now. According to different products, the way to the problem is different.

Several years ago, Al wire has been processed and sold, but its quantity is small. But now it has entered high speed developing. Almost in any places where copper wire can be used, Al wire can also be applied by improving it to meet its requirements.
