What is coaxial cable attenuation

attenuation means the signal strength is weakened in certain distance. There is a certain attenuation standard for each type of cables. And it is usually discribed in decibels. Those cables of well protected by metal and PE shield may have less attenuations. So the signals transfered in these cables can go farther than others.
